The secret to drawing trees is knowing what details to divert attention from and which ones to accentuate. You have done so masterfully in this piece. The attention to shading has given the tree depth and density to the foliage, but you rightfully chose to not attempt to draw every leaf. This has kept the drawing clean and thwarted convolution. Perfect execution.
